Recorded in Sweden, at Midgard's 2000 Ian Stuart Memorial gig, Live & Kicking set a new precedent for independent live recording. Midgard took every step to ensure the gig was recorded to the highest standard. Gone are the drowned out vocals, noise and hiss of substandard recordings. Tempered with Ian Stuart's emotional ballads such as the dedication to American outlaw, legend and patriot, Bob Matthews in 'Gone With The Breeze' and the closing 'Son Of Britain', Saga offers a welcome contrast to the crowd pleasing belters like 'Hail The New Dawn' and 'After The Fire' which are greeted by enthusiastic applause and cheers from the enraptured audience!
